Estimating & Customer Service

STOLAR is a proudly Australian-owned family business, established in 1965. Our Estimating and Production Team offer you decades of technical knowledge and experience, and we take pride in our excellent Customer-Service ethic, and dedicated after-sales service.

We are members of the Housing Industry Association, Window and Door Industry Council and the Master Builders Association of Victoria.

STOLAR proudly supports its products, and offers you the statutory warranties in relation to our work.

Our seven-year warranty (subject to all invoices being paid in full) covers the supply of the timber windows, doors and door frames manufactured/supplied by our company, but does not cover any damage, defects or problems that arise due to any of the following occurrences:

  faulty, improper or unsatisfactory installation, painting or maintenance of the timber windows, doors, door frames;

  any subsequent changes, breakages, damage or alterations made to the windows, doors, door frames and glazing, by others (including the builder, subcontractors, owners, occupants or general public), following their delivery on-site;

  normal wear and tear of hardware through the use of our products; or

  any improper use of the timber windows, doors, glass, associated hardware and other supplied products.

We are committed to providing you with quality timber windows and doors. STOLAR products have been tested by a NATA-registered laboratory, in order to ensure compliance with Australian Standard AS 2047-1999, and to provide certification of our windows' ratings for Structural Deflection, Operating Force, Air Infiltration, Water Penetration Resistance and Ultimate Strength.

STOLAR proudly uses 'Good Wood' for its Kiln-dried Hardwood ('Vic Ash') windows and doors. 'Good Wood' timber "is supplied on a controlled, environmentally responsible and sustainable basis. Full production is controlled in Australia – not derived from poorly controlled or illegal logging."

"GoodWood means that the stylish look and feel of timber can be enjoyed while knowing that future Australians can enjoy the same timber resources, parks, forests and wildlife that we do today.

If every home built in Australia last financial year used GoodWood floors, windows and doors instead of alternatives, the equivalent of one years’ CO2 emissions from 127,000 cars would have been saved. Using GoodWood means less greenhouse gas emissions than from using alternative non-timber building products. GoodWood is the better choice for future generations."
